Atemporal is a one-person show about my experience with epilepsy–and, after finding out that I was misdiagnosed for ten years, my experience without epilepsy. It is an autobiographical piece, delving into the perspective of a trans person with (and later, without) a disability. Detours include gender identity discoveries, American Idol, mental illness, Shrek 2, and chili-induced injuries. With musical bits helping tell the story from my perspective at different ages, the show touches upon living with chronic illness, living through traumatic experiences, and coming out on the other side of it all ready to rebuild.
